Research in our laboratory focuses on Huntington's disease (HD), an inherited neurodegenerative disorder that causes progressive motor and cognitive dysfunction. Our goal is to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying this devastating disease and to identify potential therapeutic targets.

We are part of a vibrant research community in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Alberta. We are active members of the Centre for Neuroscience and of the group on Molecular and Cellular Biology of Lipids (MCBL) within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.
